SKATE 1.0 is an abstract virtual skate park manifested through an immersive light and sound installation. 60 lights and a 12.2-channel sound system generate 300,000 lumens of intense light that moves above, below, and around viewers. It was realized with Electroland partner Damon Seeley at the Los Angeles A+D Museum. Dane Davis generously lent sounds from his library. The intent was to convey some aspect of the motion and violence of skateboarding through sound and light.
